Bayern through, Barcelona humiliated - 3News NZ

Barcelona has been bustled out of the Champions League with their second straight loss to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, with a 3-0 win to the German side in the Leg 2 semifinal at Camp Nou today (7-0 to Bayern on aggregate).

Trailing 4-0 on aggregate, Barcelona needed goals but they didn't come ' and never even looked likely - in a scoreless first half.

Then, when a goal did come, unfortunately for Barcelona it was Bayern that struck first.

It was Arjen Robben that found the back of the net.

Robben was found wide, chested it under control then cut back to his favoured left boot to bend his shot inside the far post to make it 1-0 and open the flood gates.

Then in the 72nd minute things went from bad to worse when Ribbery provided two crosses from the left' the first Pique putting it into his own net and then Thomas Muller too big and too strong for Barcelona defence to nod home a third.

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi was on the bench to start the match and did not take any part in the game.

Watch the video for all the goals and highlights.
